In 2012 Peak Performance International began the Brain Development Programs for children between 5-12 years know as the Genius Mastery Programs. These programs are designed for children who have “bridged” over to left-brain dominance, which can occur as early as preschool years. We have dedicated time and energy to partner with parents in raising children with exciting learning materials and accelerated learning techniques. We have incredible belief in their potential!  

OVERVIEW OF RECENT RESEARCH FINDINGS ON BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

In order to fully understand the traits of this new generation, we learned that we needed to resonate with them, as the Bible and many other holy texts have encouraged mankind to become like a little child. Only after doing so, can we finally come to understand that this is today’s child:

  1. CHILDREN ARE MULTI-SENSORIAL BEINGS-THEIR BRAIN HAS THE ABILITY TO ABSORB INFORMATION WITH MORE THAN 5 SENSES

  • Today’s child picks up information at an incredibly fast rate. He is wired to continually gather information and connect, or link, it to what he already knows.
  • She can sense and discern subtle differences of light (color), sound (pitch), and electrical currents and electromagnetic fields. She is keen to the emotional climate of a room and can size-up people — their thoughts, feelings and intentions — in an instant.
  • Today’s child seeks clarity and balance. He is extra sensitive to his physical environment, including clothing and furniture textiles, bedding, building materials, food, colors, temperature, lighting, and sound. He thrives on pure food, water, air, organic materials and nature.
  • Today’s child responds to love and unconditional acceptance. She blossoms in a joyful, stimulating environment that meets her individual needs.

  1. THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO IMAGINE, INVENT, CREATE AND CAN BRING MENTAL IMAGES TO LIFE
  • Today’s child can bring mental images to life. He can see mental images clearly, three-dimensionally, with all of his senses. He has the ability to imagine, invent, and create a positive future for us all.
  1. A CHILD’S BRAIN ABILITY DEVELOPS AND GROWS BY INCREASING INFORMATION LINKS.

During the first three years, the creative, highly photographic, sensitive brain is wide open to impressions of all kinds. The more information your child is exposed to the more the connections in their brain. The more information your child is exposed to the more the connections in their brain.

University of Chicago discovered critical information about brain growth. Their research showed just how fast the early brain grows. A 28-week-old fetal brain tissue sample showed124 million brain connections. A newborn brain tissue had 253 million connections, and an eight-month-old infant had 572 million. But the growth of the number of connections, they soon learned, slowed down by the end of the first year and stabilized at about 354 million per tissue sample. This was strange… The number of connections kept going up and up, then they started to go down.”

Their research proved that the fetal brain overproduces cells and that unless they had a connection or a “job” to do in the body, they die off. They say that under stimulation and lack of interaction with the outside world causes the cell death. The future number of brain cells could vary by as much as 25 percent depending on the quality and quantity of enrichment offered to the learner

  1. THE BRIDGING EFFECT.

The “bridging” effect is the time when a child’s brain links to the left hemisphere is called “bridging.” You can tell that your child’s brain has “bridged” when he is speaking full sentences, using logic, beginning to read, write, count and understand time. Before “bridging” happens, anything is possible! Children in the right-brain mode know no limits. Incidentally, this holds true for brain-injured children and adults whose development has been delayed. We encourage parents to take heart, and see this as an extended learning opportunity.

RAPID EYE MOVEMENT TRAINING

Eye training is important for peripheral nerve-stretching .This enhances the brain stem to reflex responses and strengthens photoreceptive neurons .This training helps children develop photographic memory.

SIMPLE IMAGE STREAMING

This involves describing a visual image out loud in detail in all senses which synchronizes several parts of the brain which would not normally happen.

The aim is to develop connections between the two hemispheres of the brain via the corpus collosum, which is done by combining right brain activity and left brain activity, such that the hemispheres must communicate.

After doing this training for 30 days a child is able to record higher IQ ratings.

Creativity also improves by 25%.

1. Find a comfortable and uninterrupted place where you can sit down and relax for a while. Listening to relaxation music is helpful.

2. Close your eyes and after a while, just try to see an image in your mind.

3. Describe this image out loud in present tense with all your senses involved, as fast as possible without any judgement. Imagine you are describing it to another person, and you want the person to see, feel and experience exactly what you see, feel and experience.

4. In the beginning, use a tape recorder for the description. It helps you to stay focused.

5. Try to describe as many details of the image as you possibly can. This will lead to better clarity. And don’t stop describing.

6. Continue for 15-20 minutes.

7. Once you’re done, play the imaginary in your head once more or use the tape recorder to to replay the session and visualise it once more.

SUPER RECALL

Memory also involves communication among the brain’s network of neurons, which are millions of cells activated by brain chemicals called neurotransmitters.

When a child engages in super recall exercises they sharpen their short term and long term memories.

  • Buy some online ?ash cards.
  • Give your child a list of 10 items everyday and ask them to recall as many of the items as they can. This builds your child’s memory and recall abilities.
